The expanding dead pool
So Billy Mays joined the ranks of the dead this weekend. That actually suprised me. Though my second, not quite nice, thought was, "Gee, what the hell is Discovery going to do with Pitchmen?"
I'm probably going to hell.

The dead zone
I had the pleasure of telling my brother out in Tahoe that Michael Jackson died. And Farrah Faucett. Though she was before our time, he was more broken up about Farrah. Honestly so was I, she fought long and hard against her cancer, and I was rooting for her.
When I told him about Jacko he laughed, and then told his buddy who also laughed. How sad is that? To drop so far that people laugh when you die?
But he was almost a joke at the end. Everything good that he was had been overshadowed by the running freakshow his life had become. God only knows what we will end up learning.
Rest in peace y'all.

David Carradine
David Carradine was found dead today.
Quite frankly I had always placed him in the same catagory as Christopher Lee, a man who would never die because death would not come near him. Let's face it, Lee would kick Death's ass. I'm not sure about Carradine, I guess he got stuck there because he was freaking everywhere. Seriously, he was really everywhere for a while, wasn't he?
Anyway, god speed David.

It's a sad day
So soon after losing Bea Arthur we've now lost Dom Deluise. I have always totally loved him, especially in Blazing Saddles. I was amazed to learn he provided a voice in Oliver and Company, which the kiddo and I watched yesterday.
It's terrible that we keep losing the people who make us laugh.

Bea
I haven't mentioned Bea Arthur dying, aside from the fact that my brother and I joked about it (no worries, we also joke about the Kennedy's dying, because that's how we roll. Cruelly). But honestly, I was kind of sad. Bea Arthur was a pretty cool actress, and she had killer timing. Frankly, I joked about Bea dying because she would have joked about it too. After all, if you can't laugh, what the hell do you have to live for?
Rest in peace Bea. I bet you're making them laugh wherever you went.
