Interestingly the rapture ready crowd (and other's I'm sure) are viewing the beheading as an "honor killing" only, not as a domestic violence matter. As though if it is an honor killing it is different from when a Christian man kills his wife.
Huh.

i noticed that. pretty much everyone is regarding this as an "honor killing", as if that is somehow different from domestic violence as a whole. sure, he beheaded her, which isn't exactly standard for Westerners, but it still boils down to the same thing.
ReplyDeleteI think it's an easy way of distancing themselves from the fact that this happens everywhere. We tend to keep domestic violence locked away until it comes out like this.
